Tom and his dog Manfred must race villainous Crabby Appleton to retrieve the 'Pill of Smartness' that once belonged to Cleopatra and makes whoever swallows it the smartest person in the world.
Episode from the animated series "Tom Terrific", a series of five-minute cartoons created specifically for the Captain Kangaroo show from 1957 to 1959. It features a gee-whiz boy hero, called Tom Terrific, who can transform himself into anything he wants thanks to his magic thinking cap. The series ran for 26 episodes.
